We have been very busy. This picture was taken on the square in a little town in the banana plantation near Cihuatlan Jalisco Mexico. These are school students that attend the nearby school. We were invited to go along to watch the kids enjoy a Christmas party. Several of the residents in our RV park donate gifts candy and pinatas for the children to enjoy. The children all get a ticket and when their number is called they are allowed to come up and choose a gift. There were 8 or more bicycles so they went first. It was a real treat to see the smiles on those kids faces.

This was one happy little boy.

This was a real treat.

All of these gifts were donated by winter residents. They do this every year.

And there is the proof, it was a banana plantation. They grow lots and lots of bananas here. It is a major source of income in this area. Agriculture is a major presence here with of course tourism important too.

After the party at the school, we went into Cihuatlan and got there just in time to see a Christmas parade. They do it up big. Look at these costumes.

These guys were priceless.

After the parade we had pizza at a very good pizza restaurant in Cihuatlan.

It sure was a full day. After pizza it was off to the local auditorium to see the children put on a Christmas show that really impressed us. They had singers, guitars, dancers Etc. The youngsters made and decorated the entire stage themselves. This was a very good show and the kids put in a lot of hard work to do it.

They were very talented.

It must have taken hours of practice to do this rite.

It was a big production, and lasted about two hours.

This picture was along our bicycle route. I will take more pictures in the future along that route. They grow lots of peppers here. It is interesting to see the fields of peppers.

And of course we do have to do chores as well. These beer cozy's need to be ready for use tomorrow.
