Here we are in Puerta Villarta. We went up for a couple of days to visit friends Brooks and Mary. They were staying in a  condo  very near the marina. It was beautiful, and we appreciated the invitation to stay with them. We had a great time.

Don't worry, Mary can't figure this out either. Two margaritas at once ?????????

Out to dinner with Brooks and Mary in PV

Belinda found a friend.

These Indians were from Oaxaca and were performing on the malacon in Puerta Villarta.

Sand Castles on the Puerta Villarta boardwalk.

From the 8th floor condo that Brooks and Mary were at.

On the way back to Melaque from Puerta Villarta, it is about a 4 hr. drive.

This was at the Pink Posada hotel in Manzanillo. We went there to visit with friends John and Lorraine McCullum. John is a ship aficionado, ad he was enjoying watching the huge container ships come in and out of the port.

This one was different, it is loaded with yachts.

Enjoying a refreshment with John and Lorraine, Michael and Dona were also there, they are spending most of the winter in Manzanillo. We are all neighbors at home in El Parque.
Belinda went to another cooking class on Saturday. This time the made 3 different kinds of taco sauce and then Tacos Adabado

I wish I had been there, Belinda said it was delicious. They attend the class and then have dinner.

The finished product, held up by Paco.

It is Tuesday, and a group of about 15 of us went out to a restaurant near the Grand Bay Hotel. We took a water taxi to the restaurant. If we were to drive there it is about a 15 mile drive.

This was a fun day, maybe I underestimated how many of us were there, we had three tables.

Everyone enjoyed the meal. The restaurant is rite on the bay. Almost everyone arrives by boat.

This is only the front of the boat, the Captain took us on a nice tour of the bay and the Grand Bay Hotel and Marina.

Grand Bay Hotel and Marina.

The channel out to the ocean.

Some way these pictures got out of order. This is back in Puerta Villarta. A nice sunset from Brooks and Mary's condo.

Lunch at the Cheeky Monkey, a nice burger and $1 U.S.D. beers.

This dude gets around, anything for a few pesos.

This was a crazy night at Ava's restaurant, lots of dancing and a bit of drinking. Glenn and Rod.

Shirley and I dancing, her husband Bob seems to avoid the camera.

Look to the left side of the picture, that is a whale breaching. There has been a lot of humpback whales in the bay in the past few days. It is hard to catch them breaching with the camera. They are huge.

This whale show went  on for 45 min.

Nice sunset, the same evening the whales were in.

Belinda  has been going to a cooking class on Saturdays. Here the instructor is teaching the class how to make carne en su jugo. "beef in it's juice"

She is really enjoying the classes. There are about 8 students in the class. After class they all eat what was prepared that day. So the class includes the lesson and lunch.

This really looks good. Belinda said it was delicious.

Last evening we went out to dinner with Chris and Lyn. Belinda ordered lobster. This is what it looked  like, it sure was good. All of this for $180 pesos. That is about $15 U.S

She stayed busy for a while.

With Lyn and Chris on their new deck.

Well, everyone in this picture knows the place well. This is Letty's restaurant. We had fun and laughs and a great meal here almost every Monday evening when we are at home. The restaurant was torn down recently and the owners had to move. Word has it that they will be building a new restaurant. In the mean time they will be opening at their home in San Antonio. All of this information I got from Chapala.com so please consider the source questionable. Wow! WE SURE WILL MISS THE PLACE.  We have great friends that we would meet with on Mondays and I am sure we will continue.

Finally after several days of being under the weather with a bad cold or maybe the flu, we were able to get out and go to Fredi's for a shrimp cocktail.
THE VOTE IS OFFICIAL, FREDI'S WAS NOT VOTED THE BEST SHRIMP COCKTAIL IN MEXICO, IT WAS UNANIMOUS "FREDI'S IS THE BEST SHRIMP COCKTAIL IN THE WORLD"

Chris and John, our neighbors are down from El Parque for a visit, it was nice to have lunch with them and Glenn at Fredi's We are all feeling better now so we will be out and about more this coming week.

Hey! it is a rough life, but someone has to do it. Usually every afternoon, play horse balls (some call it ladder ball) drink beer and solve the problems of the world.

We went for a bicycle ride to the opposite side of the bay where we are staying. That is the rv park from across the bay.

Self picture with camera timer.

There is a nice sidewalk around the bay.

This buy was just out playing.

It is a great game, lots of fun.

This is what a nasty day looks like at the beach. We had about 3 days of cloudy and rainy weather. BUT! it did not snow and it was warm. We were OK with it.

It got a little windy and it rained like hell.

Notice the palm trees in the wind.

Glenn trying to do his Mary Poppins act.

And then it was gone and got real nice. We are enjoying very nice weather now.

Went out dancing lase evening. The Tall Boys band from Ajijic were at Albatross restaurant. What a show!

We love to dance.

Bob and Shirley, our camping neighbors.

Can you tell everyone was having a great time. This is Glenn and Priscilla.

That is the bar owner with the tip jar on top of his head. This was a night out that we will remember for a while. It sure was fun.
