Yesterday was a full day for us. Went to church in the morning, then to the art walk in La Manzanilla, then to the chili cook off in Barra de Navidad. The above picture is of some of the dancers that were the entertainment at the chili cook off. They are from Cyuatlan, the town that was seriously flooded in the Hurricane.

The entertainment was very good.

These kids will be dancing the rest of their life. They looked like they really enjoyed it. We did too.

Their costumes were beautiful.

Wow! Mexican Hat Dance.
Elvis was in the house too. He put on a very good show. He also plays several restaurants around the area, we saw him in Melaque last week.

Three amegos at the chili cook off.

This was a couple of artists moping around in La Manzanilla. Why is it that women love to dress up their husbands to look silly?

Bernie and Lynn motorcycled home to Chapala on Saturday. This is a nice picture of them.

Another day at the beach in La Manzanilla with Dr.Bernie, Lynn, Bernie C. Terry, Belinda and Roy. We spent the day soaking up sun and beer then went to Palapa Joe's for dinner before heading home to Melaque.

There were lots of pelicans that day.

Three good looking babes.

Of course we didn't have quite enough fun yet so we had to stop at the transvestite show in Melaque. What a crazy day this was turning out to be.

STOP! IN THE NAME OF LOVE!

The picture says it all.

Terry will never be the same.

Three amegos with a nice smile.

This is the pool area at the campground where we are parked. Laguna Del Tule Bungalows and Campground.

The dining room the Laguna Del Tule. Belinda and I were sitting in the dining room last week when the earthquake struck way down in Chiapis, it shook the whole building. We have never felt anything like that and don't want to feel it again. No damage but it moved the building from side to side, it must have been a few inches? it felt like it.

There was a small childrens choir concert in the dining room on Sunday.

They are going to be rock stars some day.

Yesterday was a cleaning day, we had the rig washed Etc. This guy or gal came around to check us out.

Yesterday was a football day. No  pictures. We went out to the beach in the morning read a book and worked on our tan.  Then we went to Ava's restaurant and bar to watch the playoff game, drank beer with a bunch of old farts and had a great time. Who knows what today will bring!!!

This is us with Boca Beach campground behind us. We took a drive on Friday to Boca Beach, Chamila, Perula, and had lunch at the little restaurant on the beach at Carayes. We drove up there with Gordon, Maureen, Bernie and Terry. A very nice day. The weather here has been perfect, in the 80's in the day and 60's at night.

This ia a beautiful Church that we found in Chamila , just outside of Punta Perula. We were not able to get inside of the Church but Belinda took this picture thru the windows.

This is the beach at Punta Perula. Last year there were only a couple of campers in the campgrounds here. This year one campground is full and the others have several campers. It appears that people are getting more confidant of travel in Mexico. We have talked to several RV people and all have said that they had no problem traveling down to Mexico. It seems like the majority of the campers are from the western U.S. and western Canada.

Some kids playing on the beach at Perula.

Our friend the iguana has returned to our back yard. They say they taste just like chicken. He is fun to watch.

We had ten over for a fish fry last night (Sat.) The fish was prepared by Bob. He and his wife Charlie are from Colorado, really nice people. The fish was Dorado and Marlin. The Dorado was from the fishing trip that I went on, and the Marlin was given to us by friends. The fishing has been pretty good up until now. We know of three Blue Marlin that have been caught in the Tule Campground in the past week. Bob did a great job on frying the fish it was delicious.

This is another picture of the beach at Perula. Sorry I got the pictures out of order.

Sorry for no blog for the past week or so. I had to go home to San Antonio Tlyacapan, El Parque to attend a homeowners meeting. I have about two more weeks and one more meeting and I will no longer be President of the condo association. It will be nice to be back into retirement. Maybe then I will have more time  to blog. This is a picture of the beach at La Manzanilla, it is about 12 miles from Melaque where we are staying at Laguna Del Tule campground.

I thought this might turn out to be expensive, it turned out not too bad. That's Bernie and Maureen with Belinda.

Trying to catch a picture of a diving pelican.

Getting ready for another 12 mile bike ride. This is on the street in front of Playa trailer park. We meet here at 8 AM
The first rest stop along the way, in front of a church in a small town along the way. Most of the ride is through countryside but  this small town is along the way.
Glenn and Belinda arriving at the rest stop. Glenn has been doing this ride for years, he is really helpful for those of us that are just learning the route Etc. He is the one that invited us to go along.
We are all riding to Barra De Navidad to have breakfast, this guy was having breakfast too

The whole group of bikers having breakfast at Bananas in Barra

This is not one of the best pictures that I could have taken. It is difficult to take pictures while trying to keep up on the bike. There are large fields of  Jalapeno peppers, Mango orchards, and lots of Coconut palms. Lots of field workers. We ride thru some beautiful countryside. I will try to take more pictures later.
Yet another beautiful sunset to end the day. The days are going by so fast.
 A couple of happy campers
The sunset got even better.

What a life, beautiful sunset, warm temperature, and a nice Margarita. Today we went on a long bicycle ride with friends. It was painful but worth it. Left Melaque at 8 AM and bicycled to Barra de Navidad, about 1 hr. the way we went. The friends that took us along have been doing this for years and took us through some beautiful farmland. Had  a great breakfast in Barra De Navidad at Bananas Restaurant. They bicycle 3 times a week and we are going to try to keep it up, it's great exercise and dosen't seem to hurt my back. We had visitors today in our back yard. The pictures of the visitors are below.

This guy just came walking up, he was beautiful, had kind of and orange color to him, or possibly her, I didn't check.
Lots of  birds in the lagoon behind us, we are having fun bird watching.

Here we are parked and set up at campground Laguna Del Tule in Melaque.
Yesterday was a lazy day, went into town to do a little shopping with Terry and Bernie.  Did the shopping and then went for a little lunch of Ceveche and a couple of beers. It is quite warm and humid here so when we got home it was time for a nap. Finished setting up and maybe will take a trip to the bank today. We are going to Fredi's for lunch today, can't wait to have one of the best Shrimp Coctails on earth.

In front on El Parque ready to go on Jan.2nd, we had a good trip to Melaque except for the dust storm in the sand flats about 25miles after we got on the toll highway headed to Manzanillo. Had to slow to about 35 MPH because of blowing sand and wind of about 40 miles per hour. That lasted only for about 15 miles and the rest of the trip was great. Will post some pictures from the campground in Melaque tomorrow. We are set up in the campground and all is well.
