This was a little surprise birthday for Miguel, he sells oysters on the beach as well as teaches music to children at the local school. He is very active with helping children of the community appreciate music. Our friend Priscilla arranged the party and fun was had by all.

Miguel and his daughter treated us to a song.

We were treated to some fine music provided by Miguel.

Sunset after the birthday party.

The first fishing trip of the season. This is the sunrise on our way out. It is about 6:45 AM

The sunrise over the ocean was quite spectacular.

The lines were in the water and the sun coming up.

This was about 11:20 AM and finally we had one on. We thought the  day might be a bust.

This was friend Jeff on the pole. It gave him quite a fight.

The flash in the water is the fish getting close. This was after about a 20 to 25 min. fight.

Boat Captain Jerry gaffed it and pulled it over the side. Of course a few clunks on the head so it will not flail around in the bottom of the boat. If the bill of the fish happens to cut someone in the boat it will cause a bad infection.

A real nice fish, good guess about 60 lbs. A very nice Sailfish.

Guess what we are having for dinner tonight. It  was plenty for all of us to put several packages in the freezer too. What a great tasting fish. Very firm white meat, we had dinner of fish for two evenings in a row. Belinda had a great recipe for fish tacos, what a treat.

Here is our fishing group, Jerry the Captain filleting fish, Jeff, Joyce, Glenn and I am taking pictures. That is the boat we were out in on the right.
