CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY

We had a very nice pot luck dinner and gift exchange with our neighbors at Boca Beach Campground, La Manzanilla. Then we went to Melaque, to help with the gift bag distribution. Kids were waiting at the gate of the campground early in the morning. One picture says a thousand words. You can see smiling faces and also notice poverty. We made a lot of kids happy.
We spent Christmas Eve with friend at our campground. Drinks, pot luck appetizers Etc.

Kids lined up early waiting for the gate to open.

They are ready.

Belinda, Pricilla and Glenn, Pricilla and  Glenn work hard organizing this event. All of the others at La Playa Campground all pull together to do such a great thing for the community. OH, did I mention that Belinda and I used to be residents  of  La Playa Campground. They invite us back for this event, Thank You

The first little guy.

Grateful people!

Each kid gets a mark on their thumbnail to show that they have already been thru the line.

Twins, Twins, Twins

OK, they are cute.

And it is a family day.

Conchita, always comes thru with something special for the brunch.

Just getting started.

And mimosas, and some breakfast beer for those that don't care for Champaign.

Then it was home to Boca Beach, a quiet Christmas Day and our meal cooking on the Webber. A Great Christmas.

PACKING GIFT BAGS FOR CHILDREN OF MELAQUE, LA PLAYA TRAILER PARK

We once again had the pleasure of being invited to participate in packing candy and  gifts for children of Melaque Jalisco. In a lot of cases this is likely the only gift they receive for Christmas. It was a lot of fun being with our long time friends. It was a lot of fun.
Assembly line bagged 585 gift bags

Gifts and Candy donated by those that participate.

Some pretty nice toys along with candy.

Stored for the night, they will come out at 8:00 Christmas morning. 500 kids will file thru the campground.

It takes 3 cars completely full to store the bags.

And of course it is always nice to visit with friends.

There is always a lot of Santa's helpers.

Dinner Friday evening, polis sausage, cabbage, potatoes, Oh Boy was it good. Belinda's croc pot meal.

Pretty lilies and golf balls.

We had a gallery for our golf game.

He was watching where or golf balls were going.

Scenery from the golf course.

This is a kudamundi, very cool to look at. Seem friendly and we see them frequently at the golf course.

BANANA PLANTATION VILLAGE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTY

Yesterday we had the privilege of attending a Christmas party for the children of a very small school in a small village located in a banana plantation near Cijuatlan, Jalisco, Mexico. Our friends Bruce and Glenn are organizers of this party. Many Canadian's and folks from the U.S. make donations of gifts to be given out to the 32 children that attend this small school. This is not a wealthy community, so you can imagine how thrilled these children are to receive a few gifts. Of course they do put on a small play for us. Here are some pictures that we took at this event. They all make a card for us and we are expected to take a Christmas card home. They make and write on these cards themselves, this is all practice for their English lessons
Each kid gets a ticket, that determines the order that they choose their gift. Pricilla and Belinda counting tickets.

Friends Ray and Yvonne enjoying!

Bruce getting a lot of help unloading the truckload of gifts.

Bruce and Glenn making sure everything is OK. By the smiles, all is good.

School Principal/Teacher organizing kids.

Lots of gifts on the table.

He was HAPPY

A NICE CHRISTMAS PARADE IN LA MANZANILLA, JALISCO , MEXICO

We went out to dinner at Magnolia's restaurant in La Manzanilla and all of a sudden there were firecrackers, horns, music and a lot commotion going. Turns out that it was a Christmas parade. Belinda ran down with the camera and got a few shots of the parade and the stores selling Christmas decorations. What a nice surprise.

LIFE IS GOOD AT BOCA BEACH CAMPGROUND, LA MANZANILLA, JALISCO, MEXICO

JUST ANOTHER DAY ENJOYING THE BEACH LIFE
Start every day with a nice breakfast, I love camping.
Couple of our neighbors in the campground went fishing, that is a couple of nice dorado's. One of them has a rubber boat about 15 feet long, works for them.

Never get tired of the view from our patio.

An evening view from our patio.

This is the view while I was making breakfast this morning.
