TO GUADALAJARA FOR THE CAR SHOW AND THEN TEQUILA SHOW IN TLAQIPAQUE

We attended the car show at the Expo in Guadalajara with Bernadette and Terry. New cars as well as a display of classics.

After the car show it was off to lunch and then to the Tequila show. 40 venders all with Tequila samples and bottles for sale.

This old restaurant in Tlaquepaque had great atmosphere as well as good food.

It was a very well done with 40 or more Tequila distilleries represented.

This was a great photo op, but a little harsh Tequila.

Walking back to the car in Tlaquepaque we walked past an Evento where there was going to be a wedding reception that Saturday evening. Pretty fancy!

KUT-A-THON EVENT, SPONSORED BY AMERICAN LEGION AUXILLARY UNIT #7 CHAPALA, JALISCO, MEXICO

This event at the American Legion in Chapala Jalisco. Event was a fund raiser for the American Legion Auxiliary, Chapala Unit #7. Belinda was the chairman of the event. All of the hairdressers donated their time and labor. All money raised was to fund three of the charities that the Auxiliary give to. It was a great success, but there was a lot of work by Belinda and a lot of other volunteers who worked hard to make it a success.

It was a lot of fun, there were 10 or more stylists working at a time.

This Doctor came in and gave a talk to all of the Stylists as well as clients about skin Cancer and what to watch for when giving services to their clients. She was very informative, all enjoyed her talk.

This is the owner of New Look Studio. Belinda works with her on occasion and mentors some of the hairdressers at her shop. She is a nice lady and a good friend.

MARIACHI FESTIVAL PARADE, GUADALAJARA-Fun close to home

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico is the Mariachi capitol of the world. There is a festival every year that lasts about a week. The event kicks off with a parade followed by many free concerts as well as concerts that must be paid for. Attendees are from all over the world and include the very best Mariachi Bands. There are a few from the U.S.A.
After the parade 10 of us went out for lunch at a very nice authentic Mexican Restaurant. We love Mexico, the food is so good. And did I mention, "The very best Tequila"

WE ARE GOING TO TRY BLOGGING AGAIN

We have been gone a long time from blogging. We are going to try to post occasionally. This summer we have stayed home here in Mexico. Played a lot of golf. Belinda teaches hair stylists occasionally. We both volunteer at the American Legion Post in Chapala, Mexico. I would say we are both blessd with pretty good health, with the exception that Belinda had a couple of setbacks in the past year. Last September she broke her wrist and then later in the year her back started giving her problems. She is recovering from that and it looks like she will be able to take up golf again.
We will be traveling to the beach again this winter in our motorhome. We always look forward to that. Sometimes we look at ourselves and say, "We should go back to work, so we can rest up"

It has been a very warm winter here, even to the point of being too hot. Our internet connection at the RV park is very slow so I will not be posting, unless the internet improves. We will head back North to our home in Chapala at the end of Feb. and will be able to resume posting.
