This is where we got to watch the fireworks from. We could not have had a better view. Glenn's Aunt Jane's Condo.
Getting ready to watch to fireworks in Vancouver. This was about 5PM. Picture taken from our friend Glenn's aunts condo on the 17th floor, facing the barge where the fireworks are set off. Thanks aunt Jane and Sandy. We could not have had a better view.

As the evening went on, more boats and more people.

The laughing statues as seen from above.

Looking from West to East, Vancouver.

People everywhere as the evening went on.

Vancouver Police.

Getting close to ShowTime. Police boats kept the boats away from the fireworks barge.

Fireworks barge and fire boats.

Day after the fireworks , headed to Whistler.

Our host for the fireworks, Sandy. Glenn and Pricilla provided a wonderful dinner for all of us.

Sorry pictures are out of order. This is the fireworks barge.

Whistler, in town.

VANCOUVER BRITISH COLOMBIA AND WHISTLER BC

On our way to the West End of Vancouver to stay for a few days at our friends Thom and Jennifer's condo. Thanks Thom and Jen, it was a real treat.

A view from North Vancouver, having a picnic in Vancouver with our Mexican neighbors.

It sure was nice to see a lot of our neighbors and friends from Mexico, so far from Mexico.

We all had a great time talking and watching huge ships pass by.

Cruise ship heading out of Vancouver harbor.

The sign says it all.

This is located in the Canada Center/Cruise ship dock in Vancouver.

Alaska cruises leave from here.

We were invited to Glenn and Pricilla's condo in N. Vancouver for dinner, we were headed home, waiting for a cab to take us to the Sea Bus. It was pissing down rain.

Nice toes. Glenn and Pricilla's home.
A very big yacht next to the sea bus terminal.

View of Vancouver harbor from John and Loraine McCullum's home. They had us over for drinks. Thanks, we had a great time.

John and Loraine, our neighbors in Mexico. A view from their patio.

Sculptures at the Vancouver airport. Our friend Glenn gave us a tour via the Skytrain. We really enjoyed the public transportation in Vancouver.

Beautiful sculpture inside the Vancouver airport.

Vancouver airport.

Headed for the airport. The Skytrain runs about every 7 min. No attendants on the train. Everything runs by computer. Amazing way to get around Vancouver.

Skytrain tube, I still can't believe that there is no engineer, no attendants, you are on your own.

This sculpture is very near Thom and Jen's condo. It is rite on the beach, the fence is to protect them because of the up-coming fireworks show. There will be many thousands of people there to watch the fireworks.

More of the cruise ship docks.

Hey! Lady, stay behind the line.

We bicycled around Stanley Park and then out to Granville Island. From Granville Island we took a small ferry across to Vancouver and rode home. Had a very nice lunch and a couple of brews on Granville Island.

With my bicycle on the ferry.

Very old boat tied up on Granville Island. It is difficult to remember names, but it a historic site.

Granville Island market.

Granville Island market.

View from Granville Island to Vancouver.

Sea planes flying every few minutes. On their way on a regularly scheduled flight to Vancouver Island Etc.

Pricilla and Glenn gave us a bicycle tour around Stanley Park. What a beautiful way to see Vancouver.

Taken along the bike path.

There are separate paths for bikers and walkers. The bike path goes only one way around Stanley Park. That is for good reason, there are lots and lots of bikes.

Pictures are out of order. Were put in order but BlogSpot failed again. It is getting very frustrating. We crossed this bridge to enter Vancouver. The heavy machinery is being used to tear down the old bridge.

This picture should have been at the beginning. This is just after the Alder Grove crossing into Canada.

OOps! I was taking my sweatshirt off with my keys in my hand. We had stopped to see our friends Pat and Frank in Langley BC. You guessed it! I dropped my keys in the storm sewer. Frank to the rescue. He had a magnetic probe and rescued my keys.  We all had a great big laugh after this fiasco.  It sure was nice to see Frank and Pat, they also are neighbors in Mexico

More of our trip up to Vancouver. Lots of beautiful flours and hedges.
