A Trip to Zacatecas, Mexico

This is the first time in a long while that I have published anything on this blog. I am going to make another attempt to publish some pictures from our travels both in Mexico and the U.S. We will be traveling to the U.S. in 2019 and want to get started with our winter travel to Boca Beach, La Manzanilla, Mex. This first blog will be of a recent trip to Zacatecas, Mexico. A very beautiful city that features many very old buildings and a lot of history from the most recent revolution. This was an important City because much of the battles from the revolution took place in close proximity to Zacatecas. Likely that was because of the silver and gold mines and the mint being located in the city. Wealth always seems to attract problems.
It is a beautiful city located between mountains. Walking in town is a little challenging. There are no straight streets and there are a lot of steep streets and many stairways. If you go, park the car in a parking garage and walk or take a cab, they are cheap. It is worth the trip, it is Beautiful.
Many statues, museums and churches. Beautiful municipal buildings that are open for touring.
Don't forget the silver mine and cable car, there is a lot to do.
Most streets and sidewalks as well as buildings are constructed of canterra stone. Lots of carved cantera.

                                                     Beautiful parks everywhere.
