This is just outside of the doors to the American Legion Post 7 in Chapala. These are officers and delegates to the Dept. Of Mexico convention that was held at our post. The one in the center top with a red cap is the National American Legion Commander. It was a big deal for us to host the National Commander.

Enjoying a nice rib dinner at the banquet that we held for the convention attendees. There were about 85 for dinner. In the background you see we had a band.

The National American Legion Commander on the Rt. along with Chapala Police Chief and his wife.

Waiting on the Ajijic pier for a boat ride across the lake.

We took a boat ride across lake chapala in this pontoon boat. We were along with 14 friends for a nice day..

Just leaving, looking back at Ajijic.

More of what Ajijic looks like as we were leaving to cross the lake.

It was a very nice comfortable boat. The lake at this point is about 8 miles across.

This is the town of San Louis Soyatlan where we had lunch and walked around the town.

Nice malacon with great views in San Louis Soyatlan.

This little guy and his mom said hello as we were walking by. Mom said of course you can take a picture.

Oh! Oh! Belinda has spotted something she likes.

The main street is kind of narrow, these 3 wheel BMW motorcycles were passing through. Likely they were a group from  Guadalajara. Maybe 15 of them.

I want one.

This is the foyer at the bed and breakfast/restaurant where we had lunch in San Louis Soyatlan.

They had a nice courtyard that we could see from the restaurant.

From one of the top rooms at the Bed and Breakfast.

On the way home in the pontoon with friends Roe, Terry, and Bernadette.

Tuesday was girls day out. This is at the hot springs in San Juan Cosala. It is about a 15 min. drive from our house.

After about 7 hot tub treatments of various kinds, then it is time for mud.

Belinda enjoying a hamburger at the hot springs. She said it was delicious.

Grounds at the hot springs.

Nice view from the Spa.

There are about 4 or 5 swimming pools, a water slide, massages etc. It is a fun day and I was told that all of the girls had a great time.

This was at the Legion convention dinner. the butterfly landed on Belinda's arm and stayed there for about 10  min.

On the bus on our way home from Texas. Very comfortable ride, there are only 24 seats on the bus, two on one side and one on the other. It is a 12 1/2  hr. ride from Reyonsa  Mexico to Guadalajara. The bus only stops once, we board at 6 PM and arrive at 6:30 AM.

A going away/welcome home party hosted by friends Mary and Brooks. They are spending the summer in British Colombia. We will miss them.

Monday evening dinner at Penguino Restaurant. We sure do enjoy those Monday evenings with friends.

We are feeding humming birds, Lots and Lots of humming birds. I think we have more since Brooks and Mary left.

Notice the green one, we have never seen green that bright.

They are drinking 4  L. per day.

Rain dance party at our clubhouse.

Mr. Rain Maker himself. It sure looks like rain don't it.

Rain dancers in action.

Rain dancers, that should scare up some rain.

Michael is serious about rain, he gives it his all.

This is the front patio at our clubhouse. Notice the rain maker hanging from the tree.

I wonder what Juan Pablo is thinking about, it sure looks like deep thought!
