Here we are the evening before we left for the U.S. we were welcoming Clark home.

Our house got a new paint job last week.

We are on our way, the trip started out on a bad note but the rest of the trip went perfect with no problems. We got busted by the motorcycle cop from Chapala with shiney boots and spurrs. No license plate on the car trailer. No Problem! $1400 pesos will fix anything. We got on our way about 1 1/2 hrs. late but had a great trip from there on.
Narrow crooked road entering San Louis Potosi. The new highway from Lagos De Marino to San Louis Potosi is now open but you have to be careful or you will end up on this road that leads into San Louis. It was OK, but Belinda said it was a white knuckle road.

It was a little crooked and narrow, but it was very scenic.

Hotel Las Palmas has a campground on the property. It is very nice, with great clean showers. It's in Methuala, Mex.

Here we are parked at Las Palmas ready to go in the morning.

Crooked steep highway near Saltillo. The red lines lead to a run away ramp.

Only in Mexico. These guys are cool, notice the safety helmet.

Rugged mountains near Monterrey.

Cardboard police cars, from a distance these things look like the real thing.

Near the border, a statue of oil rig workers.

Here we are at the border, only about a 15 min. wait to cross. All they did is have us pull to the side and came aboard and did a small inspection and we were gone. A  very easy crossing, the best in a long while.
