This is a waterfall that we visited yesterday. It is about 35 miles north east of Manzanillo, Colima in the little town of El Salto. another nearby town is Minatitlan. There is a Iron Ore mine located near the town. The towns are located on a twisty curvy road. The Ore is transported to Manzanillo for shipment on ships coming into the port of Manzanillo. The ore is transported down the mountain about 35 miles by pipeline, the ore is in a slurry, when it gets to Manzanillo it is prepared for shipment. This waterfall is located in a small public park, it cost 10 pesos per person to enter. There is a little water park there that is also included in the admission. Wow! all this for under a dollar. |
