This is a waterfall that we visited yesterday. It is about 35 miles north east of Manzanillo, Colima in the little town of El Salto. another nearby town is Minatitlan. There is a Iron Ore mine located near the town. The towns are located on a twisty curvy road. The Ore is transported to Manzanillo for shipment on ships coming into the port of Manzanillo. The ore is transported down the mountain about 35 miles by pipeline, the ore is in a slurry, when it gets to Manzanillo it is prepared for shipment. This waterfall is located in a small public park, it cost 10 pesos per person to enter. There is a little water park there that is also included in the admission. Wow! all this for under a dollar.
The river that feeds the waterfall, very low this time of year, it is the dry season.

Part of the iron mine, I think this is the crushing operation, so they can send the ore mixed with water in the pipeline.

Our gang just  below the waterfall.

Beauty below the falls.

Terry on the waterslide.

This is the square in Minatitlan, this was a very nice clean town. We had dinner there and it was a really fine meal. Authentic Mexican food, Belinda and I had caldo de albundigas (meatball soup)

View from the square.

This horse passed us up while we were taking pictures, later unfortunately we passed the horse and trailer broke down in the middle of the road. We could smell burning transmission. Wish we could have done something to help.

There are lots of trees with these flowers on them this time of the year. No leaves but full of flowers. Everything flowers here, seems like something is flowering all year long.
