A Trip to Zacatecas, Mexico
This is the first time in a long while that I have published anything on this blog. I am going to make another attempt to publish some pictures from our travels both in Mexico and the U.S. We will be traveling to the U.S. in 2019 and want to get started with our winter travel to Boca Beach, La Manzanilla, Mex. This first blog will be of a recent trip to Zacatecas, Mexico. A very beautiful city that features many very old buildings and a lot of history from the most recent revolution. This was an important City because much of the battles from the revolution took place in close proximity to Zacatecas. Likely that was because of the silver and gold mines and the mint being located in the city. Wealth always seems to attract problems.
It is a beautiful city located between mountains. Walking in town is a little challenging. There are no straight streets and there are a lot of steep streets and many stairways. If you go, park the car in a parking garage and walk or take a cab, they are cheap. It is worth the trip, it is Beautiful.
Many statues, museums and churches. Beautiful municipal buildings that are open for touring.
Don't forget the silver mine and cable car, there is a lot to do.
Most streets and sidewalks as well as buildings are constructed of canterra stone. Lots of carved cantera.
Beautiful parks everywhere.

TO GUADALAJARA FOR THE CAR SHOW AND THEN TEQUILA SHOW IN TLAQIPAQUE
We attended the car show at the Expo in Guadalajara with Bernadette and Terry. New cars as well as a display of classics.
Interesting sales people.
We looked at cars too.
Checking out the Nissan brand.
Of course the Renault has nice models too!
I think this was a BMW? Don't know and don't care, we can't afford one.
After the car show it was off to lunch and then to the Tequila show. 40 venders all with Tequila samples and bottles for sale.
This old restaurant in Tlaquepaque had great atmosphere as well as good food.
Saint Bernie!
St. Belinda
Jalisco has a few brands. Life goal, TRY THEM ALL!
It was a very well done with 40 or more Tequila distilleries represented.
This was a great photo op, but a little harsh Tequila.
There were many displays like this. Notice in the upper right side of the picture there is a bottle shaped like a skull. I bought a bottle of that, it was delicious. Unfortunately, it is already gone. Looking for another. www.tequilalatilica.com La Tilica Reposado
Walking back to the car in Tlaquepaque we walked past an Evento where there was going to be a wedding reception that Saturday evening. Pretty fancy!
The bride and groom having their pictures taken as we walked by.
